Monday

UC2B Neighborhoods meeting

On Monday, January 9, 2012 from 5:00 pm - 6:30 pm in the City Council Chambers, at the Champaign City Building, 102 N. Neil, the City of Champaign is hosting the first focus group meeting for future UC2B subscribers.  The purpose of the meeting is to engage attendees in a lively conversation about gigabit speed intranet and internet access and what that means for you as a potential subscriber to UC2B services.  The meeting will be facilitated by industry experts who will help us inventory those things we use the internet for today, e.g. Skyping with family and friends, emailing for personal and business uses, or listening to music, etc.  Then we will move on to learning about what becomes possible for us with this new high speed infrastructure, e.g. telemedicine, smart energy use, attending church services from your living room and more.

The input that you provide will help us evaluate the community needs, potential demand drivers and market opportunity and be used then to help UC2B develop partnerships with others to begin to deliver on these possibilities.  Please RSVP your attendance for this focus group meeting to Pamela.Edwards@ci.champaign.il.us or by calling 217/403-8943

Thank you for your interest in UC2B and the opportunities it will afford our communities!  We look forward to meeting with you on Monday!
